ITIL Release Management
The ITIL Toolkit is a collection of resources brought together specifially to accompany ITIL. ITIL (the IT Infrastructure Library) is essentially a series of documents that are used to aid the implementation of a framework for IT Service Management. The IT Infrastructure Library consists of a series of publications that describe a framework for delivering and managing IT services.
The positive aspect is that PRINCE2 can be tailored to the needs of a particular project. The Service Delivery discipline is primarily concerned with the proactive and forward-looking services that the business requires of its ICT provider in order to provide adequate support to the business users. In April 2001 the CCTA was merged into the Office of Government Commerce (OGC), an office of the UK Treasury. IT service continuity management is the process responsible for assessing the impact of the disruption on IT services.
The publications were retitled primarily as a result of the desire (by Roy Dibble of CCTA) that the publications be seen as guidance and not as a formal method and as a result of growing interest from outside of the UK Government. Security refers to the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of that data.
All in all, taking any reasonable precautions, computer attacks are unlikely. Providers of IT services can no longer afford to focus on technology and their internal organization, they now have to consider the quality of the services they provide and focus on the relationship with customers. An effective ITSCM plan cannot be developed without taking into consideration the needs of the entire business.
