The Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) is a set of concepts and techniques for managing information technology (IT) infrastructure, development, and operations. ITIL is built around a process-model based view of controlling and managing operations. ITIL, otherwise known as IT Infrastructure Library,is a concept that has revolutionized IT departments around the world.

There are three levels of ITIL certification, and these are Foundation, Practitioner, and Service Manager. It specifies the amount of time it will take for the recovery and when the recovery should be completed.
