ITIL (the IT Infrastructure Library) is essentially a series of documents that are used to aid the implementation of a framework for IT Service Management. ITIL v3 initially includes five core texts. An ITIL Toolkit usually includes materials which are intended to assist in both understanding and implementation, and are designed for both existing ITIL users and beginners.
