Companies should realise that it is important to be liaising with Availability Management, Capacity Management, Incident Management and Problem Management to ensure that the required levels and quality of service are achieved within the resources agreed with Financial Management.
ITSM focuses upon providing a framework to structure IT-related activities and the interactions of IT technical personnel with business customers and users. It doesn't describe the complete range of processes needed to be world class. ITIL Service Support Processes include Incident Management, Problem Management, Configuration Management, and Change Management.
